I was diagnosed with BP on New Years day, after discovering my right eye was no longer blinking, lips numb... I thought I was having a stroke at 30, considering I have a history of stroke in my family. I recently gave birth (exactly three months ago) and I can't IMAGINE not being able to smile at my son's amazing face. I'm obsessed with reading about BP, and I'm depressed that I may never regain movemet. I was told as many BP patients that I should be healed in three weeks...tomorrow is three weeks, and I am NO way near a recovery. After reading some of your entries, I'm not even sure if three weeks is realistic expectations??? I try to thank God, that it's as good as it is, but I can't help but wonder if the pounding in the back of my head is the fact that I'm making progress or none at all ( I've taken a course of prednisone/acyclovir). I'm frightened by the thought that my recovery is relapsing as the headache had totally subsided, only to return ( I swear I feel it on my left side now) I'm not even sure what to do or if there is anything to do... On a positive... I'm excited I found this forum, and I hope to learn the YES AND NO of BP. All advice/questions welcomed! God Bless
